First Inspiration Board

This is the first inspiration board I've created so far. I'm trying to find bridesmaid dresses that will complement my gown & be appropriate for both a 27 year old MOH & a 12 year old BM. It's been challenging so far! I love the simple, classic aspects of the white callas.

Gold & Champagne Dresses (Alexia Designs), Dress (David’s Bridal), Calla Lilies (Costco.com), Boutonniere (The Knot), Bishops’ House (Bishops’ House Website), Dress (David’s Bridal), Calla Lilies (Costco.com) Calla Lilies (The Knot), Boccie (The Knot)

Inspiration!

So I am head-over-heels into this wedding stuff. I've never been a "girly-girl" & am certainly no bridezilla. But I love the designing and planning aspects of this task. I never thought I'd want to be an Event Planner, so it must just be the fact that I am planning for my family & friends' enjoyment.

I am addicted to Weddingbee, Snippet & Ink, the Knot, ... the list goes on & on. I love the inspiration boards creative types have been coming up with like the one below from Snippet:

Whites & greens & an outdoor theme are all fantastic! The honey jar favor is a great idea...although the jars would need to be small enough to make it past security at the airport, since most of my guests will be from out of town. I don't think I would go with the gingham, but the white peonies & roses are gorgeous!

I'll work on my own inspiration boards a bit more & post them too.

Welcome to the Blogosphere

Greetings from Denver, Colorado!

After graduating from college in Idaho, my now-fiance and I moved out to Colorado. We bought our first home and have spent the past three years updating & renovating. I enjoy my work as a Financial Analyst for a large telecommunications company. My fiance, Rich, is a Mechanical Engineer at an international aeronautical firm.

After dating for five years, Rich popped the question in February while we were on a romantic trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico! We're planning a destination wedding -- in Idaho -- for next June. So far the plan is something retro. Our ceremony & reception will be at a Victorian mansion built in the 19th century. I am so excited to visit the venue for the first time next week...but really can't wait to start planning the Honeymoon!
